Arcadian Shores Golf Club

Been coming to Arcadian Shores every year for the last 20+ years. Never in the best shape, but always great value. This year, course conditions were horrible, which is the reason I stopped playing other courses in the area (Myrtlewood, Barefoot, etc.), This may be the last time at Arcadian Shores as well since not only were conditions exceptionally bad, the also substantially raised the price.

Great course to get my first round in.course was in pretty good shape considering lack of rain fairways had some brown spots but overall in good shape

Course was in excellent shape. Easy access, bag drop courteous and helpful. Started on time. On course refreshment cart was a pleasant surprise. Will definitely be back.

Close to the beach, tee times too close together. Old course that may need a makeover.

Close to where we stay but this year may have been thr best shape it has been in years of playing there.

Don't understand why when your in the fairway there is no grass .What is supposed to be rough was dirt . The greens were exceptionly slow just did not enjoy the course

A good course but not much as far as the clubhouse and the course was just average

Greens were slowest of the week. Probably running 7 on the stimp. Course condition was poor. Course was poorly maintained. Would not recommend to anyone.

I would give it a five star. The experience playing there was great and the employees friendly and accommodating. The course was well laid out and enjoyable. I definitely would play there again

Basic, old style inland Myrtle Beach course. Fun to play, meets constrained budgets.

White and gold tees were appropriate for age and skill levels. Have played this course many times and love par 4 13th signature hole.

Greens were amazing. Held the ball on approach but putted fast and true.

First time playing this course definitely going back great shape

Very poor course conditions. Greens were good but thats about it.

Staff was fine. Course was very “abused”

Very disappointing. The marshals were ineffective if they even bothered to usher a group of 12 along. 6.5 hours to play 18 holes as the price we are paying is unacceptable.

Had a 3 groups ahead who were together...they slowed the pace to the point that the round was unenjoyable....Marshall was asked to push them along as they were 2 holes behind the pace..nothing was done ...it made us not want to go back here again

Horrible took six hours to play due to marshalls not doing their job. Never going there again.

Good course if you stay in fairway.

Did enjoy this course. They were still doing renovation to the clubhouse so had to check in at the conference centre. Assuming the proshop has a patio for after golf beer I'd go back. Course condition were ok and staff were very friendly.

This comment pertains to all the above courses: You could not "roll" the ball into the cup - you had to "ram" the ball into the cup. The ball would approach the hole and then in the last 3 inches, would simply roll away. It was as if all these courses had the "Public Hole Ring" around the cup. As the greens are fast, a missed "ram" putt meant a long putt back. This was not an individual golfer problem as all our golfers experienced this on each course.

Besides battling sand on most shots, our day at Arcadian Shores was very pleasant. The course was in great shape, and we had virtually no issues whatsoever. Great course and great people. This was the second time we played Arcadian Shores. I'm sure we'll return in the future.

course in nice shape but cart path only for maintinence during peak of fall golf season is insane will not go back instead of letting someone know the chose money now instead of keeping customers happy

Nice, not great course, areas of hardpan

The course was not in the best of condition, weather was perfect however the group of 16 golfers felt the staff was a bit unwelcoming and overly watchful throughout the round. Will remove this course from future consideration.

Course was in good shape and clean. Fun day of golf. Greens were just sanded a little hard to put. They should have waited to sand in the fall. All in all I like the course and the layout. Thank you for an enjoyable day.

Course condition was fine but staff (except Starter) were anywhere from rude to uninterested in guests. They DID NOT honor a replay. Said the course was full - didn't appear that was the case. They said last Tee-time was 2pm?

Descent course and Lay-out, fair, good greens. The Ranger ruined the round for us as we were the second group out behind two beginners, at the turn he told us to pick up the pace! We waited on every tee shot and most fairway shots, turned into a 5+ hour round.

Didn't think we could get 4 immaculate golf courses on one trip but Ben got us set up spot on.

Nice course but they were doing alot of repairs on the grass, so I didn't see it at its best.

Was burned out in many areas and somewhat disappointing. Would not play next year. One website has it top 20 in Myrtle, can’t see it. Staff very nice though.

Started 25 minutes after scheduled tee time. Marshall was pushing our last group to tee off when group before them hadn’t cleared. Player on coarse was then hit with ball off tee. Player safety should must be more important than speed of play.

Thought the starter was rude and kind of a jerk to be honest

We did not play due to weather. The course issued us a voucher. They were very accommodating.

beautiful course definitely not for beginners. get prepared for bunkers... almost accidentally hit a car due to closeness to a street on one hole. friendly staff. all smiles on a wet and muggy day decent golf carts

the was not as nice as it used to be. the fairways and the tee boxes are not in that good of shape. the course is no longer as nice as it used to be.

When I booked a trip to Myrtle Beach I didn't expect to play a course like this. I can play better courses in Michigan.

Like this course a lot, 3rd time playing it. As usual, it was in good shape, especially the greens, rolled quite well.

Had a rude ranger. Parked 2 tires off the cart path after stopping at a green. He ride and told us we were not allowed to do that as we were not on the cart path, he then pointed out that the sign in the fairway is where we should start that rule. We never went further than the sign in carts. We then parked on 18 to watch our group come in and he rides out in the cart hollering and motioning with his arms for everyone to move now and then rode off. He could have talked nicer and talked to us like adults.

One ranger was a bit over zealous, one of the twosome had 2 wheels on the cart off cart path on dirt patches and lectured us about cart path rules

This is closer to a 3.5 rating. It is a fun and well designed course, but not as nice as the other ones that I've rated 4 and above.

course was okay. gimmicky holes not needed. staff did not communicate about how to play extra 9 at the beginning of the round. the entrance/bag drop off ties redesigned at the entrance/exit to the course. this needs redisgned.

rented clubs, too expensive, driver had a 2 inch slit in it.

This course has a very nice layout. It was in decent shape with the fairways being a little sparse in arrears. Overall for our group it presented us with a good challenge and was an excellent first round choice.

first one we played of are 3. Lot of Sand but a lot of fun. And surprisingly some Great looking holes. And the people there were really helpful. We rented clubs were pleasantly surprised!!👍

Pretty good. Wonderful layout, good fairways, but greens were bumpy in places on almost every hole.

Fun course that is centrally located in N. Myrtle Beach. Not particularly hard with the exception of the pin positions on the day we played which were all on ridges. Course in good condition. Staff was very accommodating to include re-opening the snack bar when we finished. Kind of strange they closed up at 6 PM.

Loved the course. Very good layout and fairways and greens were great!

They think they are 5 star course. The Attitude of the Staff was that we were lucky to be playing there. Tee boxes and Greens need some work. Definitely feel of a Public Muni course.

Nice track with fun layout that is not overly challenging, but well conditioned overall. Snack bar was closed prior to 6PM which was weird, but staff allowed us to buy drinks following round. Conveniently located in central North Myrtle.

Gentleman at the baggage collection was very rude when we stopped to get a beer at the turn. Came in and yelled at us, then proceeded to talk very loudly outside to other employees about how “slow we were”. Course was nice but that guy just left a sour taste.

Just a great layout. Very challenging. One of my players did not like all the traffic surrounding the course, but the greens were in excellent shape as was the rest of the course.
