Sixty miles of beach and a tower every few hundred yards of it. Most of these are condo resorts rather than hotels, so a two bedroom unit comes with a kitchen and a washer as well as the balcony, and the pools and lazy rivers are downstairs.
Who it suits
When half the party is playing and half is not, the beach, the pool deck and the boardwalk keep the non golfers busy until the round is in.
A one bedroom with a balcony over the water is the version of a golf trip that gets approved at home.
Two nights and three rounds works well from Ocean Boulevard, where the central courses are a short drive and dinner is on foot.

A bright orange and yellow tower of some six hundred units right on Ocean Boulevard. A garage for your vehicle is across the street and a breakfast buffet is steps away, which is why it is the one we send most groups to first.

One and two bedroom condos in two fourteen storey towers
Every unit has a private oceanfront balcony and a fully equipped kitchen. The north tower has a large outdoor pool and sun deck, the south tower a lazy river, indoor and outdoor hot tubs and a climate controlled indoor pool. The boardwalk and SkyWheel are a walk away.

One to three bedrooms, sleeps up to eight
Over five hundred condominiums and the biggest water setup on the beach: six indoor and outdoor pools, three lazy rivers and seven hot tubs. A family favourite for generations, and big enough to absorb a sixteen golfer group without anyone noticing.

Two to four bedrooms, sleeps up to ten
A gated oceanfront resort on winding paths through live oaks and Spanish moss, with lake views on one side and the beach on the other. The larger units make it one of the few oceanfront addresses that takes a full foursome in separate bedrooms.

Studios to three bedrooms, sleeps up to eight
Fifty seven acres of oceanfront in North Myrtle Beach, with towers on the beach and villas set back in a quieter setting. There is a putting green on site, plus tennis and beach volleyball, and the north strand courses at Barefoot are a few minutes inland.
