The course

What Leopards Chase Golf Club plays like.

Designed by Tim Cate and opened in 2007, this course showcases the natural beauty of the Carolina coast with its marshlands and mature pines. The layout features wide fairways and challenging green complexes, with strategic bunkering throughout. Hole 4, a par 3 over water, and the long par 5 on the 18th with its risk and reward approach are particularly memorable. The course is well suited for players seeking a strategic challenge.

Left by people who booked this tee time through us and played it.

No yardage markers on a challenging, non-traditional layout is a bad combo

Richard, Marblehead

Course was a great shape

Dino, Florissant

Challenging golf course, greens were fast. Hard to score if you don't know the course.

Jack, Gibsonia

Too difficult, water on 17 of the 18 holes.

Jack, Gibsonia

Loved the layout. Course was very difficult, but conditions were great, but definitely play this again.

Gregg, Chesapeake

Very nice course, Very tough, target golf Will play the big cats again in the future.

Charles, Harleysville

Very well maintained and very enjoyable to play.

Duhon, Barberton

The golf course was in great shape from Tee to Green. Out of the Big Cat courses, Leopard's Chase was the best. The only down side is that even though the course it the best, the Clubhouse was the worst of the three.

Bob

Great layout

Gregory, Harrisburg

Beautiful course

Shawn, Porters Lake

Beautiful courses ,staff was friendly

Jeffrey

To much crap.

James, Pittsfield

Too many waste bunkers. Lol. I guess I should be a better golfer.

Daniel, Pittsfield

Lots of sand but a very challenging course

James, Dalton

Too many sand traps

mike, Pittsfield

Very difficult. Lots of water and sand. Made for a very tough course. Club house was nothiong to write home about.

William, newbury

No sand in the bunkers.

Steven

Wow course was great and the new greens were perfect.

Jimmy, Pamplin

This was our best day as service was good and the course was is good shape. The new greens were very nice. The strange thing here was we got to ride on the course all day and the course was actually a little wet in some areas.

Kendall W, Pamplin

Leopard's Chase was in great condition everywhere, with brand-new greens. Oddly, the only course that wasn't cart-path only, even without any rain all week. The layout of the course was great and the greens were soft, but had enough speed to putt to a line. The BIG difference at LC was the consistent roll on the greens--none of the brittle, bumpy greens like PR and LP. Would definitely go back.

Jeremy, Pamplin

Same as Panthers Run.

John, Edmond

It rained that day so I did not get to play it.

Arthur, Brunswick

Great course.

John, Andrews

Layout was great. Greens were soooo slow.

Jeromy, Grand Bend

greens could be better

Larry, Burlington

Fun and challenging course.

Kevin, Chesterfield

Very nice senic

Duane, West Holmestead

I thought the course need a little more care on fairways, tees and greens; all the way around.

Anthony, St. Augustine

Better condition than Tiger's. Really liked the layout. Good pace of play. Clubhouse was essentially a trailer which was a negative.

Anthony, Norton

Greens were nice but a little slower

Richard, Trenton

terrible condition. greens with no grass . sandtraps not dressed in a long long time

Iain, Niagara Falls

Course closed due to greens.

Randall, Greenville

Most challenging of the Big Cats. Good course.

Andrew, Woodbridge

The greens on this course was better then Lion paws. Fairways are just okay alot of dirt patches thru out the course shorter course but more challenging.

Louis, Stafford

Greens were horrible. No food

Fredrick , Manassas

Staff Great, course better than others.

Desmon, Stafford

Horrible courses. These courses should be removed from your list of availability

Jay, Alexandria

Ended up the better of the The Cats courses. played through some rain but fairways and green much better then the sisters courses.

Stephen, Morristown

Greens were rough. Too much sand. Overrated in my opinion. Disappointed. Clearly the worst of the big cats courses

Todd, Bridgeville

Challenging and fun course.

Daryl, Appleton

Some greens were not in very good shape.

Michael, Cincinnati

Bad greens, Bad Fairway, Bad rough

Jeffrey, Chicago

Greens need some repair

Eric, Bloomington

Disappointed with the conditions of the course

Rod, Guelph

Difficult, greens were in rough shape

Bryce, Evans

liked this one a lot.

Bill, Carpentersville

Issues with grass on the greens

Eric, Salisbury

Suspect condition. Difficult layout.

John, Creighton

Great layout, but conditions are average at best

Michael, Bel Air

This was my favorite out of all of the four that we played the only reason why it’s four stars not five is because of some of the greens have some bare patches but we still enjoyed playing this course

Bob, Ashburnham

This course is laid out well and enjoyable to play. Bent grass greens which is nice but they were not in good shape at all and should've been for this time of year.

Michael, Unicoi

Leopards Chase was in really good condition as well. Almost as good as Tigers Eye, with the exception of some bare spots in the greens where they lost them in the heat last summer.

Wesley, Kernersville

Favorite course. Greens need some work.

Jon, Sanford

The greens on Leopard's Chase were terrible. They had huge bare spots on every green. This course should not be open due to the condition of the greens. The pro and greens keeper should be fired for letting the course get in this condition. I think the Averell group should get a cash refund for this course. No rain checks, a cash refund.

John D, Gastonia

Greens were a little rough but overall, nice round.

Cindy, Amissville

I was in terrible shape. We should've got our money back. It's about a 20.00 course at the most!!!

Jeffrey, Kelly

A total waste of 5 hours of my day. Should be closed. Greens look like a country course that does not have any maintenance. Will never waste any money on this course.

Samuel, Stanley

terrible shape

John, Salisbury

Nice course but greens were pretty rough.

Cindy, Amissville

Greens were terrible. We should have been offered another course for play

Bob, Charlotte

Has definitely seen better days!!!

Dwayne , Saint Albans

Very dried fairways needed more manual watering.

Mark, Newington

Great course. Tough but not so difficult that everyone could enjoy. Hope to plan again real soon.

Samuel, Stanley

Just not my kind of course. Fairways are too narrow and there wasn’t any rough.

Kristine, Chichester

Better layout. Not great condition

John, Providence

Rained out, couldn't finish but 6 holes. Greens still slow.

Jack, Greensboro

This is a beautiful golf course. Best kept course we played on this year.

John, Whitesboro

This was most difficult course of the four cats. Front was challenging but fun. The back was extremely difficult with narrow fairways and a lot of water and sand. You should disclose this ahead of time to potential players. We had a higher handicap who struggled here.

William, Glenmoore

These are generous ratings for the CATS courses due to COVID. Conditions were better last time we were here.

Charles, Nazareth

Best shape of 4 Cats-Though toughest -needs clubhouse

Bruce, Burlington

This course should have not been open. The greens were trash.

Randy, Greenfield

The course maintenance was horrible. The course itself was in horrible shape. I would've rather stayed home and played the courses in Pittsburgh. For this to be a "mecca" for golf trips I was highly disappointed and have no plans on returning to the Big Cat courses or to North Carolina.

Walter, Monroeville

The greens were a little rough.

Andre, Charlotte

Greens were bad, rough was bad and traps were bad

SHANE, Salisbury

Course needs a lot of work

Michael, Havelock

Liked course, greens were burnt but still most enjoyable day

Adam, Darnestown

All the courses needed grass cutting but this one was the worst n one of the starters was pretty rude

charlie, baltimore

Fairway and greens need help!

Richard, Baltimore

Clubhouse staff was nice. Course layout was great. But, almost every green had large areas of burned out and/or diseased grass. Least favorite of all the “Cats”.

Christopher, Severn

Loved the waterfall infinity pool by 18 green.

Patrick, MCLEAN

enough sand and water made this course challenging, but fun.

Mike, Tavares

Condition was ok, greens starting to burn. Pretty course with a lot of hidden trouble. Ranger was a pain in the a... No place for a large group to eat.

Neil, Columbia

Condition was decent, course was not a favorite of the group. Layout was too difficult for most of our group. I am a 6 handicap and it was very challenging for me. The balance of our group are bogey golfers an most did not break 95.

Neil, Blythewood

Great layout. The staff was very accommodating with a rain delay of several hours.

Eric, Chapin

Too many hazards, very difficult!

Glenn, Chapin

Greens had many brown spots. Rough areas were full of weeds.

Paul, Bluffton

The bent grass greens were in great shape. Very challenging course with lots of trouble throughout.

Steve, Powell

Layout was great but pins with the type of greens. Literally felt like i was playing plinko and just hoped once i putt that it would stay on line.

Mickael, Roanoke

Not a bad course. Nothing special had some of the same problems as the other 3 courses. Some tee areas looked like closely mowed fairway instead of an actual tee box. Greens were ok but showed some wear in many places.

Steve, Sandy Ridge

Best of the lot

Gordon, London

Not as good as in the past years

Mark, Pittsburgh

Greens needed to be mowed, but were fine otherwise

Charles, Suwanee

Great golf course and even better staff.

Marc, Lewisville

Bunkers need alot of work

Steve, Blacklick
