The course

What Panthers Run Golf Links plays like.

Designed by Tim Cate and opened in 1999, this course features a scenic layout with marshlands and mature pines defining its character. The fairways are generous, but the strategic bunkering and undulating greens demand precision. The par 5 10th hole, with its challenging water carry, stands out as a memorable test. Known for its well maintained Bermuda grass, the course suits both seasoned golfers and those seeking a strategic challenge.

Course was in great shape

Dino, Florissant

The greens were too slow and needed to be cut

Gregg, Chesapeake

terrible condition

Robert, Grand Ledge

Was in much better condition than reviews led me to believe.

Kenneth

Would have been higher but greens were not up to par

Jimmy, Pamplin

Greens were not in good shape and had to ride cart paths only for 9 holes when course was not wet. they may over seeded but course was not wet and morning was no different than the afternoon. Service on and off the course was good

Kendall W, Pamplin

The fairways and tees were in fine condition. The greens however were not. They were very brittle and bumpy, it was difficult to put on a line as they did not roll true or consistent.

Jeremy, Pamplin

Nothing special about this course. Average at best for Myrtle Beach.

John, Edmond

The greens were not in good shape.

Arthur, Brunswick

Greens need help.

John, Andrews

Literally craters in the greens. Barely any grass on greens. No food in clubhouse between rounds. Absolutely horrible!

Daniel, Mableton

Course not up to expected conditions

F, London

2 course (greens specifically) in poor condition

Paul, Uxbridge

greens in poor condition

Larry, Burlington

The greens had little patches and when putting it was like a pinball machine

Ron, Trenton

Worst greens ever seen

Brian, Sand lake

Greens weren't the best

Richard, Trenton

Fairways and bunkers in great shape, but greens had so much crab grass sprouts that straight putts were almost impossible. Not impressed.

Thomas, Richmond

course not being taken care of

Iain, Niagara Falls

Still had alot of cleanup to do from the storms. Some of the fairways still had debris on them. Restaurant was closed.

Perry, Reading

Course was not in great shape.

David, Allentown

I liked it. greens best of any.

Rickey, Birchwood

Got food poisoning at The Boundary and did not golf on Thursday

Ev, Chattanooga

Only played 9 holes

Darrell, Chattanooga

Not in good shape. Fairways were not mown lately tough to hit from. Greens were ok but not good.

Harrell, Athens

My personal favorite

Randall, Greenville

Terrible…course aerated and greens sanded. Course really wasn’t in playable condition!

Randy, Sharpsburg

Bad greens & fairways

Scott, Smyrna

Course completely dried out including greens. No watering of the course. Will never return.

Kerry, Canton

Equally as horrible as Lion's paw. We had 55 or so golfers and each of us deserves a refund.

Calvin, RALEIGH

Course not in good shape

Damon, Indianapolis

Course in bad shape.

Cemond, Conyers

Punched greens a week before we played. The staff was friendly and courteous. I will definitely be back

Jabali, Las vegas

Green were aerated and the fairway looked like it had not be watered in months

Kevin, Oakland

The course is in terrible condition. Aerated greens and course is not being managed well. Definitely disappointed for spending my money to play this course. If I could rate zero I would.

George, Hephzibah

DRY, fairways and tee boxes were mostly dirt.

Michael, West Des Moines

The greens were just abrogated and the fairways could of used alot of water

Harold, Evansville

Tee boxes, fairways, and greens burnt. Greens areated. Fairwyas had many bare spots and burnt.

Vincent, Lawrenceville

Better than Lions Paw but needs work. Greens were areated a week before. June seems late for that

Michael, Severn

The greens were aerated and made play a bit challenging. Several hot spots on the fairway.

Enrique, Cheverly

Not a bad outing here.

Andrew, Woodbridge

The greens on this course was better then Lion paws. Fairways are just okay alot of dirt patches thru out.

Louis, Stafford

Food was Great

Fredrick , Manassas

Staff great, course not

Desmon, Stafford

Horrible courses. These courses should be removed from your list of availability

Jay, Alexandria

drought conditions at all the Ocean Ridge courses. but seems like there was drainage or sprinkler work done.

Stephen, Morristown

Good course with great stafff. Enjoyed our round

Todd, Bridgeville

good condition considering the dry conditions

Phil, Essex

Very nice layout would consider playing again if price is right

Adam, Keswick

Challenging and fun course.

Daryl, Appleton

Overall, things were good.

Michael, Cincinnati

nice lay out, very dry conditions

Jeffrey, Chicago

Course was fine . Marshal was rude , wanted us to step up speed of play , at no time in the round could we see anyone behind us. For this reason we will not golf here again

Dave, Cannington

Great layout, but conditions are average at best

Michael, Bel Air

Diseased greens. Horrible cart paths. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone

John, Ellicott city

Condition of greens were poor

David, Hilliard

greens needed work

Stephen, Westerville

Nice course but nothing spectacular. Greens need help.

Michael, Unicoi

The greens weren't the best but we enjoyed the course and clubhouse. Wish the beverage cart was around other than our 1st hole.

Mark, Alexandria

Poor condition

Bradley, Herkimer

Panthers Run was very slightly better than Lions Paw. There was still quite a bit of Poa in the greens

Wesley, Kernersville

Greens were a bit burned on some holes but overall its still one of the jewels of NC golf.

John, Whitesboro

Great course. Great shape staff was great and very helpful. Recommend this course

Dave, Frostburg

Nice track pretty good shape

Andrew, Orillia

Greens a little rough

Jon, Sanford

Several of the greens were bad shape and needed to be aerated, fertilized and over seeded.

John D, Gastonia

Great course but clubhouse management could be a lot better. We arrived an hour before our 8:30 tee time, hoping to get some coffee, a bite to eat, and some range time to warm up. No one had arrived yet to staff the snack bar, and they had to search for someone to help us. So we lost time that we wanted to spend at the range. We were also told we couldn't take the cart over to the range, which seemed odd, so we just skipped our warmup. At lunch, between our 2 rounds, it took 40 mins to get a couple of hot dogs and fried pickles. The gentleman behind the counter seemed confused and was very slow. Seems like they just need to improve or increase staffing.

Cindy, Amissville

greens were bad

Jeffrey, Kelly

Greens were not in the best shape. General condition of this course is getting worse. This I would consider to be a good $25.00 course.

Samuel, Stanley

Several greens had problems

Bob, Charlotte

Carts paths need repair

Doral, Richmond

Nice course

Gary, Chesapeake

Very dried conditions, needed more manual watering. Several greens in disrepair.

Mark, Newington

Poor condition. Needs fertilizer and water.

Don, Elon

Weeds in the greens..... course in terrible shape. Won't ever play again....

Timothy, Lauderdale by the Sea

Course conditions terrible.

Timothy, Lauderdale by the Sea

Course was in terrible shape. Big disappointment but consistent with its reviews.

Jeff, San Diego

Very disappointed in the condition of the course. Some of the greens had bare/dead spot and crab grass spots. Overall condition of the course was surprising based upon previous times we had played the course. Would not play again.

Rick, Louisville

Horrible conditions (greens and fairways)

Dave, Neshanic Station

Worst course conditions I've ever seen, ever. Greens baked and brown, no grass. Fairways were just mowed weeds. One of our carts actually died. Will never go back. Staff was not friendly (were actually surprised at my disgust), just a horrible experience. This course should be closed.

Todd, Bristow

Course is in terrible shape. Greens are diseased and brown with crabgrass stumps. Bunkers are uncared for. Fairly interesting layout ruined by poor condition. Staff is either in denial, told to deny/deny/deny condition of course when confronted, or totally incompetent and do not recognize how poor the condition of the course is. We had another 9 holes scheduled following the initial 18 and declined to play - that bad. Will not play here again.

William, Trinity

Terrible condition. Probably one of the worst conditioned courses I have played on anywhere. Greens were literally brown and diseased. Fairways were weeds. It is a shame as several years ago this was a decent course.

Todd, Nokesville

Terrible condition. Greens were the worst I have played in all the times coming to Myrtle Beach; clumps of crab grass everywhere on the greens. Every single green was bad. Fairways were not good either.

Donald, Mobile

Greens and areas of the fairway were in bad shape. Lots of weeds growing on the greens.

Stephan, Blythewood

Not memorable

John, Providence

Course is a nice layout, but in terrible condition. Greens are brown with disease with crabgrass stumps throughout. Fairways are weed choked and bunkers unkept. Highlight if staff was cart lady who was friendly and present. Starter at bag drop was officious and took his position way too serious - retire please. Staff is either oblivious to course condition, under instruction to deny/deny/deny, or have no idea what they are doing. Do not go here. Not worth the trek.

William, Trinity

Poor shape also

David, Dunkirk

Disappointed in the greens, slower than the other times I played the course.

Jack, Greensboro

It's a great layout. Course was little rough due to a tornado that hit a month before. Probably should have switched courses or been advised too.

Anthony, Conway

Over seeded & disappointing. Should not be scheduled This close to over seeding. Fairways & tees all needed cut.

Thomas, Canonsburg

Another great course. An enjoyable golf experience.

William, Glenmoore

Horrible condition long shaggy fair ways and greens place looked neglected.

Steve, Lenexa

Course had just been overseeded with Rye, fairways were long and very wet. Greens were a mess. Rough wand around greens had more weeds than grass will never play this course again.

gregg, High Point

Terrible shape and no activity to improve course

Bruce, Burlington

Very wet and not from rain, balls constantly plugged in fairways, rough, and around greens. The greens were in bad condition and slow. Lost more golf balls in play than we did by hitting errant shots

Ricky, Taylors

The course maintenance was horrible. The course itself was in horrible shape. I would've rather stayed home and played the courses in Pittsburgh. For this to be a "mecca" for golf trips I was highly disappointed and have no plans on returning to the Big Cat courses or to North Carolina.

Walter, Monroeville

Greens were good, rough was bad and traps were bad.

SHANE, Salisbury

Fairway and greens need help!

Richard, Baltimore

Course was in great shape. Played challenging but fair.

Christopher, Severn

Great shape and layout.

Patrick, MCLEAN

Didn't drain well from day before rain.

Mike, Tavares

Fairway was ok, but the rough area and tee boxes were full of weeds. Greens were slow with many bare areas.

Paul, Bluffton

The course was heavily saturated. Some greens were flooded from watering. The greens were very slow and in bad shape the Bermuda grass has not come in yet.

Steve, Powell

Driving range was closed. No explanation given which was odd. Bunkers need replacing. Greens were horrible

Mickael, Roanoke

I know there was 5 days of rain prior to our arrival. I thought the layout of this course was really nice. Unique looking track with some challenging holes. The issue was the greens looked they hadn't been mowed in days. The bunkers, which there were a lot, needed to be raked. The hard sand and water trenches made the bunkers unplayable. The unmowed greens made putting a disaster. Would love to have the opportunity to play this one again when it was in the right condition.

Steve, Sandy Ridge

Greens were terrible. Tee boxes were soaking wet.

James Patrick, ACWORTH

Was better than expected after first day. Before was in line with lion's Paw

Mark, Pittsburgh

Greens a little rough

Charles, Suwanee
