The course

What Tigers Eye Golf Links plays like.

Designed by Tim Cate and opened in 2000, this course is known for its dramatic elevation changes and striking use of native grasses. The layout features generous fairways and large, undulating greens, with strategic bunkering throughout. The par 3 11th hole, with its island green, is particularly memorable. Consistently well maintained, the course uses Bermuda grass, providing excellent playing conditions year round.

Left by people who booked this tee time through us and played it.

Course in great shape. Staff very nice.

Butler, Doylestown

It was probably our favorite course to play

Dino, Florissant

Had a good time staff was very friendly replays were expensive so we left after 18

Dean, Roanoke

This is a favorite course. Very interesting layout, pretty holes.

Jack, Gibsonia

Our favorite of the six we played this year. Par 3's were all exceptional and course design was fair and enjoyable.

Jack, Gibsonia

I thought this course was a bit too short from the golds, but it would’ve been too long from the white tees. But again course was in good shape.

Gregg, Chesapeake

Not bad to play. It was in need of some tender loving care though.

Duhon, Barberton

The course layout and service at course was great. We were not very impressed with the condition of the course though. The greens were very tall and had not been cut recently. There also was very little difference between fairways and rough. I know the weather has been affecting maintenance, but do not feel the course should be describing course as a premium course. The other courses on property looked to be of equal quality.

Harry

Over the last few years I've been told you don't want to go to Ocean ridge plantation because the conditions are bad. That was not the case. We played tigers eye in the morning and leopards Chase in the afternoon and the conditions were really good

John, LEBANON

Another enjoyable course with a nice layout. None of the four courses we played were five star rating, but we achieved our goal of playing four rounds of golf and enjoying our annual father, son and grandson outing.

William, Nokomis

Slightly better than Sea Trail.

George, chesapeake

better condition than panther's run but not great. first par five on the back (#15 or so) is a terrible hole.

Robert, Grand Ledge

Outstanding!

Fredric, Baltimore

Enjoy this course. It was in great shape.

Gregory, Harrisburg

Could not play due to weather

Daryell, Roanoke

Was unable to play due to snow

Dean, Roanoke

The greens were well kept a little slow. Overall a very nice course would play again.

Albert, Strongsville

A refund would be nice. They should be ashamed to charge what they do with the course in the terrible condition it is in.. We played Eagles Nest the next day for $45 and it was much superior to Tiger’s Eye. Never going back to Ocean Ridge.

Dennis

Some greens and fairways were dried out

Charles

Course conditions not the greatest; greens were very slow

Glen, Wauwatosa

needs a little more care. the course

Kelvin , Chesapeake

Course in great shape. Greens were very plush and slow.

Leon, Wilson

Some golfers like this course the best

Ron, Philadelphia

A targeted type of course. You need to have your game right on spot

James, Dalton

Enjoyed this course. Played for the first time but would like to return and play again. It helped that wind was not a factor and it was a warm, sunny day.

Lee, Plymouth

We only were able to play 4 holes because of rain, but from what we saw this was a very nice course. Wish we couls have played the whole course, would have probably rated it higher.

William, newbury

Nice course but again the greens were just ok.

Jimmy, Pamplin

Course was in okay shape but a few greens on the front were patched and not is as good of shape. Tigers Eye is usually my favorite course but again we still had to ride cart paths only for 9 holes when course was not wet. they may over seeded but course was not wet and morning was no different than the afternoon. Service was good on & off the course

Kendall W, Pamplin

Tiger's Eye was the second-best course of the week. Greens were pretty much the same as PR and LP, that is to say...not great. However, the fairways and course layout at TE was enjoyable.

Jeremy, Pamplin

The course was in great shape and the layout was excellent.

John, Edmond

Great service on and off course. Nice layout. Good condition

Michael, Williamsburg

Great course.

John, Andrews

Greens were really bad.

Jeromy, Grand Bend

conditions were a little rough but nice facility

william, LOCKPORT

greens could be better

Larry, Burlington

The greens had little patches and when putting it was like a pinball machine

Ron, Trenton

Pretty beat up, not nearly as nice as previous years. Good pace of play.

Anthony, Norton

I liked it Lots better than Lions Paw.

Rickey, Birchwood

The second worst greens ever played…after Lions Paw

Ev, Chattanooga

much better course

Dan, Soddy Daisy

Greens were ok… loved the layout

Darrell, Chattanooga

Course was in really good shape. Enjoyed playing it.

Harrell, Athens

Nice course. Need to have the grill to match its standards

Randall, Greenville

Great course, great people, great time! Loved everything about our day and look forward to being back!!! Thanks for a great time @ Tiger's Eye!

James, Eagan

Course was in decent shape. The course was not up to the standard of a course for a golf trip. However, it was not overly great!

Randy, Sharpsburg

Better conditions

Scott, Smyrna

The better of the 3. Still not up to par. Dried out.

Kerry, Canton

I gave it a 2 because you fooled us with watering the back 9 (which is where I started) ONLY to then make the turn and be right back the burnt fairways, horrible greens and crappy tee boxes. We have been going on golf trips now for 10 years and these were by far the three worst courses I have played..especially in the great myrtle beach.

Calvin, RALEIGH

Much better shape than the other courses. Greens didn’t roll well

Damon, Indianapolis

Best of the three.

Cemond, Conyers

Punched greens a week before we played. The staff was friendly and courteous. I will definitely be back

Jabali, Las vegas

Green were aerated and the fairway looked like it had not be watered in months

Kevin, Oakland

The greens were just a tad bit better than the other 2 but the overall course condition is horrible..

George, Hephzibah

Tee boxes, fairways, and greens burnt. Greens areated. Fairwyas had many bare spots and burnt.

Vincent, Lawrenceville

Better but could be better

Michael, Severn

The greens were aerated and made play a bit challenging.

Enrique, Cheverly

Better of the courses aesthetically. Enjoyed the outing; howeversome of the greens needed work.

Andrew, Woodbridge

The greens on this course was better then Lion paws. Fairways are just okay alot of dirt patches thru out.

Louis, Stafford

Staff Great Cours Better.

Desmon, Stafford

Horrible courses. These courses should be removed from your list of availability

Jay, Alexandria

drought conditions at all the Ocean Ridge courses. but seems like there was drainage or sprinkler work done.

Stephen, Morristown

Course was in great shape. The play was fast

Peter, Moseley

Good course. Great staff. Enjoyed out round

Todd, Bridgeville

not as well kept as i remembered

Gordon, London

enjoyed the layout

Phil, Essex

Challenging and fun course.

Daryl, Appleton

Challenging course but a very nice place to play.

Michael, Cincinnati

Very disappointed with the conditions of the course

Rod, Guelph

OK. Fairways were growing yet

Mark, Raleigh

Was the least liked course of the group

Craig, North Canton

Amazing layout, great pace of play, great staff

Bryce, Evans

Great layout, but conditions are average at best

Michael, Bel Air

Enjoyed this course

Bob, Ashburnham

By far the best course of the 4. Greens had some issues around the edges but the course itself is head and shoulders better than the other 3.

Michael, Unicoi

Tigers Eye was in the best condition of the Big Cats. Other than the weather we really enjoyed this course.

Wesley, Kernersville

Great course. Staff was great recommend this course

Dave, Frostburg

Fun course and layout. Place is tired and needs some repairs on greens, bunkers and fairways. A good course but not on par with Thistle.

Daniel, Broomall

Great layout, but course conditions were not good

Jon, Sanford

Greens were not in great shape.

William , Cleves

This course was in good shape.

John D, Gastonia

This was my favorite of all the courses. It was in excellent condition! This course offers good opportunities to higher handicappers, while still being challenging enough to be interesting and fun. Loved it!

Cindy, Amissville

greens were spotty

Jeffrey, Kelly

Better course than the Friday's course. Not worth the dollars we paid to play.

Samuel, Stanley

Of all the Big Cats courses, this was my favorite. Challenging, picturesque and nice greens.

Cindy, Amissville

Carts path need serious repair

Doral, Richmond

Good layout and very playable. Greens were smooth and fairways were in good shape.

Graven, Louisa

best greens and traps. course needs some TLC

Michael, Tuckahoe

inflexible staff and in horrible shape

Colin, Franklin

Well maintained

Gary, Chesapeake

Very dried conditions, needed more manual watering.

Mark, Newington

While it needs water and fertilizer nice layout.

Don, Elon

Would give this course a 6 if possible. It was the best of the 4 courses we played. Great shape. Greens were excellent.

Rick, Louisville

Best layout of the four. Some interesting and memorable holes. Okay condition

John, Providence

This course is usually 5 stars. This time the greens and fairway were in poor condition.

Doug, Alpharetta

Disappointed in the greens, slower than the other times I played the course.

Jack, Greensboro

Course was nice. Staff was rude.

Andrew, Massillon

never played this course due to poor weather

Randy, Westerville

Great staff awesome conditions...

Keith, Ellicott City

Enjoyed it on Saturday. Wish we could have gotten a rain check for Thursday since we got completely rained out

Andrew, Charlotte

A very nice layout with great scenery. Course was challenging for most golfer and not overwhelming for high handicap golfers.

William, Glenmoore

Very nice layout but course was being over seeded so not in best condition but would play it again.

Steve, Lenexa

Tigers also had recently been over seeded but in better shape than Panthers Run. Greens also better.

gregg, High Point

Love the course, but it was still recovering over seeding that appeared to have been done a few weeks ago. Condition was a little sparce.

William, CLEVES

Better than Panther's run though still heading down hill from previous visits

Bruce, Burlington

nice course in above average shape

Josh, Clemson

Course was in better condition. Still too much standing water with no rain for the week. Greens were playable and fair.

Ricky, Taylors

This course was in good shape other than all the rain they got.

Randy, Greenfield

The course maintenance was horrible. The course itself was in horrible shape. I would've rather stayed home and played the courses in Pittsburgh. For this to be a "mecca" for golf trips I was highly disappointed and have no plans on returning to the Big Cat courses or to North Carolina.

Walter, Monroeville

Greens were good, rough was bad and traps were bad. This course was probably more of a 3.5 compared to the others.

SHANE, Salisbury

By far the best golf course of the four. Also the best maintained.

Richard, Baltimore

Favorite course of the trip. Really enjoyed playing this course.

Christopher, Severn

Good condition all around.

Paul, Bluffton

Nice course! Just wished I was striking the ball better on this day.

Steve, Powell

The best by far. I wouldve played this course 3 days straight.

Mickael, Roanoke

I enjoyed this course but the tee boxes left a litle to be desired. Noticed maintenance had been working many of the bunkers back into shape. Thought many of the greens here were showing some burn out. Odd after all the rain that had just fallen.

Steve, Sandy Ridge

was better than first 2 days of Ocean Plantation Courses

Mark, Pittsburgh

Greens a little rough

Charles, Suwanee

The greens were in very bad shape and unplayable.

Marc, Lewisville
