Very difficult.

Course was very dry no rough it was all dirt

the renovation made the greens way too gimmicky

Inconsistent conditions, couple of terrible tee boxes no 12 in particular! Great layout but very dry hard conditions on some greens.

Love the course the condition was great and the and the staff did a great job. The layout of course was great very fair yet plenty of trouble.The Greens were in great shape and quick. I can't wait to play it again.

One of my least favorite courses. Not in very good shape and a bit "tricked out" like the elevated green on Number 10. I have played it several times and never cared for it.

Our group loved this course! Challenging, but played the appropriate tees and it was fantastic.

It was too tough for my particular group. We are just occasional golfers (normally shoot 110-120 range) so this course was a bit too challenging for us. It’s a nice course, just not for us.

We will definitely be back. What a challenge and well kept course this is. Nicklaus makes you have to hit a golf shot to get on the green, which can be a challenge but also very a very rewarding experience for a golfer. Liked everything about Long Bay…

I liked the bones of the course but maintenance of the course needs to be improved and carts need to be replaced. Pace of play on the front 9 was terrible; over 3 hours and had 4 groups on the tee on our 8th hole. Also tee time was delayed due to waiting on cart returns.

At times, 4 groups on a hole. No attempt to speed up play.

golf cart tire fell off, no extra carts, green conditions poor, staff so so on friendliness, squeezing members in walking in front of our group; slow play

Weather was a factor but still allowed us to play our favorite of the four. I'd love to play it on a dry day.....& not have play cart paths only. WE WALKED A LOT! The layout of the course is amazing. Great time. I definitely want to play it again

Complete gem. The layout was great. Greens were the best of the week. Range / putting green was easily accessible. The hot dogs were massive and the waitstaff was very kind. Clubhouse was fantastic. Definitely on the list in my return. Highly recommend!

This course is under repair so very hard for us to gauge. Once work is done to repair greens i expect it is very nice.

i understand they are closing for renovations, but it was a crime to charge people to golf there. it was embarrassing for me to take my group there.

Raining and didn't play

Admittedly had a lot of burnout from frost, especially greens. Bad conditions. Cool layout. Hoping the course can recover.

greens are completely unplayable, waste of time. when your traveling to play and you arrive to that definitely leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

I love the links layout. The greens were in horrible condition, but I was told beforehand.

The greens were painted & in terrible shape. The starter was an old curmudgeon with a nasty attitude toward our group leader.

If there is a zero for this I would put it we should been notified about the shape of this course, the green where painted green there was no grass on them at all. We should be refunded for this course

Greens were literally unplayable…no grass, had not been rolled, holes not changed out for quite some time…no sand in traps… $20 gift card for concession not nearly enough.. this course was in obvious decline for quite some time…. unacceptable that a replacement course could not have been found.

ZERO! Greens were completely lost!!!! No grass - just painted dirt. We were NOT warned ahead of time or given the choice to reschedule or go elsewhere to play our round of golf. Horrible management and poor customer service by Golf Trek for this. Demand a refund on this round or some other credit-type compensation.

Their greens were horrible. The rangers were disrespectful curmudgeons. The only good thing I can say is that the staff at the pro shop were very nice and the food was delicious. We should have been notified prior to playing or given an option to play elsewhere. Since we weren't, we should be given a full refund for this course.

If I could have given this a 0 I would. The greens were unplayable but horrible drainage and no sand in the traps. Golf trek should have let us know this ahead of time and given us the opportunity to play another course. We feel since we paid approx $110 for this year should get a refund. What is amazing the pro shop also knew how bad the greens were they gave us a $20 gift card to spend in the pro shop. Everything in the pro shop was $30 or higher. Another way for them to make money. I would suggest not playing this course until they fix everything.

Course was terrible. They have lost all their greens. Gave us $20 in club house credit before we started because they said the greens were bad….$20 was not enough.

The absolute worst, we felt very taken as the course was old, greens were totally destroyed and painted and was far below the standard of course we expected given the average price of $105USD per course.

Pretty cool course. Very playable. Rough way too deep. Spent far too much time searching for golf balls that barely missed the fairway!!!!! Why would courses want to slow down the pace of play to have folks searching for balls that you have to step on to find. If they can mow the fairways, they can mow the rough to a reasonable level. This is vacation golf, not the US Open.

Starter kindly suggested we play from the gold tees, which turned out to be the right choice. Carts look new, but mine (52) squeaked a little. Sounded a little like a goose in flight. Course is in great condition and has a beautiful design.

The Jack Nicklaus layout is great. The condition of the course was not. The green speed was the slowest my group and I played on during our trip. I would recommend finding another course to play.
