The course

What Myrtle Beach National - South Creek plays like.

Designed by Arnold Palmer and opened in 1973, South Creek at Myrtle Beach National features a scenic layout with natural wetlands and mature pines. The course is known for its narrow fairways and strategic bunkering that challenge golfers of all skill levels. Hole 10, a par 5 with a dogleg left, is particularly memorable for its risk and reward approach over water. The course is well maintained with Bermuda grass throughout.

David, Arlington

Extremely disappointing. Course was in horrible shape.

Jackson

Did not play (Raincheck)

Jeffrey, Reisterstown

Well kept course and afun to play not overwhelming views but better then most similar courses in New Jersey. Would play agai. We played nine at Kings North after and WOW!!!

Corey, Yardville

Nice course. Definite step down from North.

Massato, Washington

Great course

Greenidge, Fort washington

Not as good as west but still a very good course

Tyson, Baltimore

Almost got hit twice with the ball . I recommend to advice player to wait till other player out sight

Calderon, Pasadena

Good condition but greens were inconsistent

Hanline , Glen Burnie

Getting your bags checked in for the morning round was very hectic.

Marvin, Salem

Enjoyed the course. Decent shape fr as dry as South Carolina is right now.

Uitermarkt , Tiffin

had a great time nice warm up course

Michael, Rochchester

In great condition and staff were excellent.

McCullough, Keswick

Although we only got 7 holes in, the course was very nice - enjoyed playing there and look forward to playing there again.

Paul, Mooresville

Cart path only which is ok. But, the cart paths are in terrible condition

Whitley, Locust

Again these greens were not actually green

Joyce

Playable and forgiving

Richard, Mount Uniacke

All the guys loved the course.

Robert, Cocoa

A little too chalenging for us but a fun course.

Joe, benton

This was the worst course for more than one reason. The staff was rude at the bag drop. It was cart path only and a swamp even though it hadn't rained in days. The maintenance crew didn't move and talked loudly while you hit off a nonexistent fairway. 4-6 inches of water in many traps and when you ask the front desk about the course just shoulder shrugs and excuses. I will never play this course or the other MBN courses after this experience.

Steve

Evidently this course doesn’t drain well. Mushy fairways, sand traps with no sand, & a course worker on a tractor with a blower that had no regard for the players.

Jeff, Woodstock

Burning Ridge was good-some damaged fairways, founders was great - tees, fairways, greens exceptional, Myrtle Beach National - PHENOMENAL from arriving through entire round. My buddies from out of town said it was their best time ever on a three day golf outing. Thank you to all three clubs. I will be back. My first rounds since retiring in June and relocating from NJ.

Mark

Nice course.

Matthews, Murrells Inlet

Better than expected !

Marc, Cleveland

MBN always provides a good experience; however, the bag drop/loading clubs/getting started was very chaotic as they seemed understaffed out front.

John, Abingdon

Really enjoyed this course as well. The course was in great shape and we moved very quickly around the course.

Alexander, Charlotte

Good - not as good as Kings....

John, Woodstock

Nice track prefer North. Well maintained and tough long course.

Gasner, Acworth

These were average courses I could have played anywhere and probably would pay $50 per round. Very disappointing considering there are so many beautiful courses in the area and the reason for choosing MB was for the golf.

Brendan, Mount Pleasant

This course is always in great condition. Greens, fairways, and areas around greens were in great shape.

Gantt, Shippensburg

(Winter golf) , course in great shape, friendly staff

DeVito, South Plainfield

weather was not good, course was.

Thomas [Tommie], Bear

Another great experience especially in the pro shop!!

Gary, Roanoke

Well maintained course condition, loveit!!!

Frank, Braselton

Sorry we were going to get bad weather in Ohio so everybody wanted to leave early before playing . Your app would not allow me to continue, since we didn’t play really couldn’t give it a star

Chuck, Howard

A lot of fun a nice easy open course

Tomas, Albany

we actually golfed west course which was not as nice condition as south unusual as in past west is better. many others said the same

christopher

A walking single was told to play with our only threesome.not appreciated

Dale, Jacksonville

Not a fan of the strange layout of a few of the holes on the course.

David, Saint Augustine

Average...........crummy lunch choices.

Greg, scotland

Nice track. Great place for a first round. Course was in very good condition. Very friendly staff.

William, Durham

Course in good condition. Friendly staff. Did not like having a walking player added to our group.

Ochs, Jacksonville

This would be the second best course behind the International. Love the roll of the greens

Charles , Oak Park

course was in very good shape,, a lot of fun holes and placement shots,, very good people

James, Greenwood

Nice course in good shape

Jimmy, Brunswick

Average course , way better than the first 3 courses.

Dale, Red Dear

Nice little track.

Doug, McKinney

Very nice course. My best round.

Lary, Joplin

People were very nice, and we enjoyed the course. We ranked #4 but it was very nice. Just our 4th fave.

Jeanne, Blissfield

Bad weather. Not a fair score for survey

Anthony, Oxford

Great course

Ken, Port Perry

Thin fairways.

Michael, Port Dover

Good condition, but challenging and a bit "quirky" on a windy day.

Frank, Windber

Absolutely beautiful. And in great shape.

Stacey

Do not care for the layout. do not like hitting 6 irons off the tee on par fours.

Bob, Johnstown

Myrtle Beach National is a great course.

Shaun, Chesapeake

Rained front nine but course handled it well

Richard, Sinking Spring

Not too difficult for ladies.

Francine, Thetford Mines

Greens were fantastic and they staff was extremely friendly

Robert

The course was in terrible shape. Don't know how much it rained here, but this wasn't well maintained compared to the West Course. Customer service is always great though

Robert, Chicago

very nice facilities

Jay, Charleston

MBN is always a good round...all 3 of the courses, and South-creek didn't disappoint

Frank, Alexandria

Beautiful course,

Claude, Beaconsfield

Good condition for winter golf. Always a consistent course to play. Friendly staff.

H

Way too many pine cones! Area around parking and clubhouse was a major safety problem. Great course!

Bruce, Providence Forge

Very slow play. Had to play cart path only for four holes. Group ahead was so slow there were 2 groups waiting at the par 3 holes.

Lynn

Course needs better maintenance. Would not play it again.

Randall, Wapakoneta

Good condition

Mark, Berlin

Should not be offered into your package

Serge, Magog

It was in better shape when I played there last spring.

allan

Course was in poor condition. Greens were poor.

Jim, New Franklin

Great course and staff. Cart guy was awesome.

Brennon, Randleman

Enjoyed it needs.some up dating

Phil

Not on a par with North and west

roland, Niagara Falls

The conditions were not good - very wet and soggy on most holes.

Ethan

All 3 courses we golfed at were perfect for our skill level. And the later tee times worked out nicely for us. Of the three, I believe we liked this one the best

Jerry, Oswego

What’s not to like

Ken, Clayton

predicablelly perfect

Dennis, Wilminton

Great course. Very well maintained. Would recommend to anyone. Will be back to play again !!

Eddie, Selma

We had a slight rain delay but the staff was still able to get everyone out to play with no Backups!!

Douglas , Lenoir City

One of my favorites

Mike, Ellicott city

Bunkers need work

Les, Limdsay

Cart paths were very rough

Scott, Chatham

Besoin d’amour, les tètres de départ pourraient être refaits

Robert, Granby

Grass was in a bit rough shape

Kevin, London

Lunch to go excellent.

William , Leamington

fairways are still torn up from the new sprinkler system and it was so crowded again we do not want to go back next year

Denise, Andover

Lack of signage and markers.

Dugald, Quispamsis

This was my least favorite of the four courses we played for many reasons, the most important of which was the condition of the fairways and the number of golfers the complex was attempting to serve the day we were there. They were bragging about the 750 players on the courses that day when my biggest complaint was how slow the play was. I have no desire to return to this course.

Judith, Charlestown

seemed a little neglected.

Andy, Watertown

Friendly staff, well maintained

Ed, Dallas

Greens were great, fairways needs some work but playable

James M, Cincinnati

They were putting in a new sprinkler system on a few holes. Other than that it was in great shape.

Daniel, Waterford

Better condition than West as far as the greens go

Anthony, Niagara Falls

Greens were really bad

Bob, Aledo

First time playing the MBN West course which was in great condition. Played 36 holes on the same day. Lunch was quick and delicious. Would definitely revisit.

Mitchell, Mechanicsville

The course had MUCH to be desired, not i pressed at all, poor condition on the fairways and whats more concerning, the last review is dated Nov 2021 and shows poor condition THEN on the fairways. If they were bad in November, how are they still bad now in May of 2022? Have they stopped fixing the issues or are the issues too big for this course to handle. Not pleased and they dont seem to care at all. One hole there was a small tractor left near the tee box? C’mon- really?

Frank, Westchester

Golf course was in very, very poor condition, some staff members were friendly and some weren’t . Dead grass in the fairway, tee box. There even was a machine (Crane) in the middle of the fairway on the back 9 i think it was hole 11

Mike, Westchester

The course has potential but it was in terrible shape. The back nine was in especially poor shape.

Ross, Lemont

The course was in very poor condition! Reviews from November 2021 also mentioned this course was in poor condition. I would not recommend this course! The staff at this course was not friendly as many other courses were.

Mario, Naperville

Course was dry with torn up fairways.

David , Etowah

Course was burnt out and not in very good condition. Greens weren’t horrible, but overall just average conditions

Erik, Fenton

Front nine was great...back nine not so much

Andrew, Campbellsport

Noce course but not in very good shape. Fairways were dried out. They were putting in a new irrigation system which will improve it

Tom , Calgary

Course was in very bad shape!

Dan, Toledo

extremely poor condition. under construction.. it was unacceptable as part of this package.

Vincent, Dallas

Sprinkler system under repair

Andrew, Palatine

Did not like this course, work being done and not in good shape

Michael, Brookfield

Nice layout but course was in poor shape. It would have been nice to know about the construction before we booked.

Patrick, Cincinnati

Terrible condition, was not informed by our golf master of the sprinkler construction project which would have changed our plans

Joe , Hoffman Estates

Under construction and in poor shape.

Arun, Barrington

Open and a nice way to start the rounds.

Don, PALMYRA

Loved the course, staff were amazing, friendly and helpful.

Nancee, Ohsweken

Greens bumpy. Sand traps very hard sand.

Mark, Kents Store

Fun course. Greens have a lot of break.

Bill, Farmington

Nice course. Fast greens

Mark, Rocky Hill

Greens were a little rough

Todd, Cullowhee

Have played there before. Obviously you were aware of the conditions due to turf grass management. It would have been nice to either rebook to another course or refund green fees for that course, It was that bad!!!

Randy, Homer Coty

Terrible conditions. I almost walked off

Rob, Homer City

Absolute Goat ranch. Should be closed down.

Kenneth, Heathrow

played in wind/rain and course held up well

Anthony, Gainesville

Needs some work

Aaron, Homer City

The playing service was in rough condition other than that it was great

Mark, Lenoir

A better course layout from West Course BUT a lot of active construction and the 18th hole was the worst with unplayable areas around most of the green. Not the way to end a round of golf.

Raymond, Dobbs Ferry

Did not play

Scott, Tonawanda

A little dry, but enjoyed the course.

Lynn, Waukesha

A lot of on course maintenance being done; many construction trucks and trenches filled with sand. Took 5 hrs to play 18. Took a while for bag drop to load our carts so we could get to the practice green

Mike, Chicago

10/10 course and personnel everyone was happy and always spoke. Answered questions and joked around Took care of the clubs when gotten out of the vehicle. Amazing

Logan, Canton

Slightly burnt out due to a lack of rain but a very fun course.

Marcus, Flanders

was nice but not as nice as the others we played.

David, Greensburg

Coarse was in great shape, very well organized, had a great round of golf

Jared, Newton

Nice course but in pretty rough shape

John norman, Charlevoix

Great courses great people and Very PROFESSIONAL

William, Ringgold

Too busy but a nice course.

Beautiful top to bottom. Great layout.

Bryan, Swannanoa

Great condition. I would liked to play again when I go back ro Myrtle beach. Thank you

Chong A, North Wales

MBN seems always in great shape

ALAN, MONTICELLO

MBN golf complex is always a go to for us. All 3 courses are nice, with the North course being it's premier course.

Glenn, Winchester

The course was in good shape except for some wet spots. We didn't appreciate the marshall telling us to speed up when we played the front 9 in less than 2 hours and the 18 in less than 4.

Frank, Ottumwa

The Myrtle Beach National Courses seem to be kept is such great condition despite the wet conditions.

Eduardo, MOORESVILLE

They switched us to West course

Frank, Monroeville

Over good course. We played the west as the South was just punched.

Ryon, Greensboro

Was under some renovations and our second nine got rained out . It had some very nice holes but the rain made it a bust.

Steve, Lima

Well kept easy to navigate

John, Palatine

Nice course and nice people!

Mike, My Holly

Fairways are not in good shape. Greens were good.

Mark, Clinton

Excellent but a bit slow, could use a marshall because it was busy.

Denise, saint christophe

Rained and course was really wet
