This was truly the star of the week perhaps five star what an amazing course everyone in my group raved about River's edge and wants to return and play it again. This was best play of week.

Staff was great

Slow group ahead of us slowed us down more than 30 minutes. This impacted the enjoyment and the remainder of our day with time crunches. Not acceptable for a course this nice.

Love this challenging layout. You use every club in the bag. Staff was rooting for me on my birdie try on Arnie’s Revenge but just lipped out.

Conditions were good, too much sand. Greens were slow. Staff friendly.

I had played once before here and love the layout. The layout is an outstanding test of Arnold Palmer designed target golf, which I like, but is very challenging. The fairways, grounds, and paths were in excellent shape. The greens were in above average condition but rolling too slow. The staff and facilities were top notch!

One of my favorite but toughest courses I’ve played. Never gets any easier but it challenges to make good golf shots

Tea boxes were very poor. Greens were average. Lots of weeds. Grass mat on 15th T made me feel like I was at a substandard driving range.

Liked course layout but greens were very bumpy. Also pace of play was super slow. Round started at 836am and we did not finish til after 130pm. Need to improve pace of play for us to come back.

Pace of Play was Awful. Had a Group that was in front of us who were more interested in Drinking Beer than playing golf. And the group behind us had one of those Bluetooth speakers and playing loud music along with hooting and shouting. No Rangers to be found to keep people moving either

Staff were horrible. Every single member made it seem like we were doing them a favor by being there. Course was great.

I liked the course. Bag drop group and marshall left a lot to be desired. .Had to set on #10 tee for 1 hour after playing front 9. They let several groups go ahead that had already played 18..

We had a scheduled tee time at 2:15. We didn’t tee off until 2:45.

This is my favorite Myrtle Beach course so far. The layout is great. I love coming through the trees and then opening up to the marshlands. The only negative were the greens were pretty slow and didn’t roll very true but we got dumped on with rain the day before we played which may have prevented the maintenance crew from cutting and/or rolling the greens. I would absolutely play it again.

Beautiful course as well! 5+ here as well! Little slow on getting us carts but the bag guys kept us entertained and were pleasant as well even though they were frustrated as well.

Put two foursomes in front of us as we were making the turn for our final 9 holes of golf. Couldn't finish, too slow

We started on the back 9 and when we made the turn to the front, the starter inserted two foursomes in front of us. This was UNACCEPTABLE. Why would he do this and cause us significant delay in completing our round? We actually quit after 13 hole because of the backup that this decision created. Until this point we had a great round. When approached by our trip organizer, Tom Hart, the course staff offered us 9-hole coupons. They should have refunded our money for (at a minimum) 9 holes. Very poor customer service. Will not return.

Nice course but didn’t finish we were first off no 10 in afternoon play was great till we made turn on no. 1 they put two foursomes ina front of us playing their third nine not the right thing to do had to wait on every shot terrible 6 of our group quit playing after 4 holes 2 of us continued to play took a total of 6 plus hours to play 18 ridiculous

Course fun and in good shape but time management for golfers terrible. It took almost 3 hours to play nine (back nine first). Than the front nine was 45 minutes to tee off. We quit; it would have taken 3 more hours to play the front. They gave us a 9 hole raincheck; not going back.

The course itself was very nice and the view was great. The course was challenging for sure. The guys working the carts/bags were very rude to many of our group and very pushy about getting tips from the moment we got there until we left.

course was very fun and in good shape. but the starter or bag boy nearly caused the group to leave. he was unbelievably rude to polite people. he needs to be either disciplined or fired because he is going to take business away.

Always a good time at Rivers Edge. The course was very busy in the morning and the staff handled in well. Played 18 in the am and pm. Ended up playing the front nine twice in the afternoon due to very slow pace of play. To bad the par 3 15th hole has grass mats on the tee boxes, it’s a very fun and scenic hole. Course conditions were very good and the greens rolled smooth and true.

Always enjoy the course but our group can definitely see a decline in the course. Also the bag guys are some of the rudest fellas we have ever encountered at any course. All that being said, I would still return for play because the price is right. Seriously, someone needs to work with the bag guys.... no need for being consistently rude. I would love to tip them but its hard when they have that kind of attitude.

Rivers Edge was in great shape. Greens ran true and fairly fast. Club house staff were really nice and professional. The views at Rivers Edge once you get along the water are awesome. This is a must play for anyone going down to Myrtle Beach. Would recommend this all day.

Tough but a good round

Great shape and an example of tricky target golf. When you hit a drive down the middle of a fairway you should be able to at least FIND if not play the ball. But great shape and very friendly staff.

the course was in great shape. Personnel in the pro shop at check in made it a point more than once to keep up with the group in front of us, which we did, but we ended up waiting on just about every hole. The pace of play was slow, and course rangers were not visible to keep things moving, otherwise I would have rated this course as a "5". Greens , fairways and tee boxes were in good shape. Many scenic views which added to the golf experience.

Beautiful course.... friendly staff. Wasn't thrilled with the over zealous caddies(?) who were cleaning our clubs while we were on the 9th and 18th greens. Very obvious they were just looking for a tip. If I want my clubs cleaned, I will ask. I walked back from the 9th green and see someone in my golf bag... not exactly what I'm used to. Maybe I just need to golf at better courses and this would be normal?

Too many blind tee shots. Would be better if there were markers on the tee boxes to notify you of hazards.

Our favorite stop of the courses we played. Nice course and facilities. The staff had a mixture of both good and bad personalities. We will be returning.

River's Edge was not in the best condition. The greens on the front nine had been re-dressed the day before our round and didn't play well at all. Some of the holes were not in good shape. Definitely won't include this course on another trip to Myrtle Beach.

Grass conditions rough in places. One par 3 they had fake grass mats to hit off of. Not expected at a course that costs this much. The food service was extremely dysfunctional and slow.

First time playing there…some beautiful and tough waterside holes. Looking forward to tackling this course again! Cannot say enough about the staff. Very friendly and as one of our group left a range finder in the cart, a phone call the next day and they had it waiting in the lost and found. They are FedEx- ing it back! How about that!

We only played three holes, got rained out. Course looks excellent. Staff super friendly and accommodating--easy to get 16 rain checks! Food and bev looked great, staff there was friendly and welcoming, despite being slammed by 50 wet golfers. We will return to this course.

Rivers Edge is a beautiful course and challenging. The course was in excellent shape and is always challenging. The heat index was quite high on this day, but it is August! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Everyone had a great time!

appeared to be short on golf carts, we had to wait for people to come in. Ridiculous drop zone on #9

course looked nice but played it in the rain so could not fully enjoy it.

we had one of our golfers need to to the emergency room! they took him there & brought him back! And i really liked the golf course!

Excellent course in beautiful condition.

They attendants forgot to strap / secure my golf mates’s clubs into the cart and they are now scratched. The course was nice but that put a damper on our opinion.

This course was excellent. From every aspect of playing here. It was EXCELLENT! only complaint was on one of the par 3s there was an artificial mat which took us by suprise. Besides that one tee box this course was unreal. The staff and Maintenance was excellent.

Great course, but I have never seen a course just close like that and not offer a refund or rain check? I live in Surfside and use to work at The Reserve in Litchfield, never seen or heard of a course do that before... unreal!

Made a rash decision to not let us finish a round without collecting updated weather information. Great facilities us all the data/time available to make a weather-related decision. This one seemed to want to go home early instead of waiting it out. And the evening we were “booted” from the course was perfect for golf!

Awesome, very challenging course but the overall experience sucked due to us getting gypped 9 holes for might be bad weather that never was.

Absolute disappointment and disapproval at how our round was cut short, with not even the slightest apology or remorse or attempt to make us whole.

Robbed our out of town group of 16 guys 9 holes because the staff wanted to leave. Nothing to do with weather conditions. Offered us NOTHING while taking our carts from us.

Conditions were lush and attractive. Only issue was that greens were too slow. maybe needed to be cut.

Pushed us off the course prior to completing last 9 due to weather that was not prevalent. No rain checks offered or issued.

So the course was great, but they kicked us off the course because of a storm 100 miles away. the rain came and it was our only nice day to golf and was cut short. No refund or anything. Super dirty

Out of all the courses played this course was in the worst Condition. Cart path only lots of standing water With soft areas making it difficult to retrieve balls. Tee areas also not in great shape.most everyone in our group said they would probably not play here again.

Course was very wet during our time there. Almost to the point of being unplayable. Of course, it was cart path only when we played but the starter told us that even in 90 degree weather they had cart path only holes due to the low land the course occupies. Beautiful course otherwise. In spite of the saturation, Arnie's revenge (#9) was my favorite hole of our entire stay.

First time playing there was not impressed with the greens but I would like to play there again tough layout made me use all my clubs

Probably the best course I have played down there thus far. Very challenging and beautiful. Also very accommodating staff as we were doing a 3 day tournament down there for this trip and they allowed us to play 3 playoff holes for free.

Love this course. Have played it for many years. It is very challenging but is always in excellent shape.

This was our favorite course last year. Maintenance of course appears to be suffering from past year. Very dry and worn out tees on some holes. Would rate the course conditions 5th best of 6 we played. Good food in clubhouse, quick service. Excellent golf staff.

course was nice but they put a threesome in front of us as we came off the first nine and greatly slowed play on the back nine

No starter to get started. Greens were fair and well kept. Some fairways could be better. Construction off the side of course need more completions

Favorite course in the area, except for Arnie's revenge

For the couple of holes we saw from the club house, looks fantastic. Was grateful for the course to give us a rain check. We look forward to paying when we come down in August. Course work with us to change the day to the last day because of rain. But our luck it rain out that day too. So they give us a rain check.

Best course of the three - everything about this course and experience was excellent. This is a must if you come to the area. Hope to be back again.
