Shaftesbury Glen

I love Shaftesbury. It’s my go to course in Myrtle Beach.

The course was amazing. Great scoring course. Outside staff was awesome, inside staff not so much.

Did not like the layout of the course.

Once you get used to the needed "extra" club for the raised greens your all set

Great course. First time playing it and had a blast. Lots of sand fairway runouts and bunkers so you had to hit it straight off the tee to avoid the sand.

Overall course conditions were just OK. Fairways lean, traps and green satisfactory. Out group was not impressed with the course layout.

Terrible because we could only drive 90 all day even though the course for the most part was dry. Greens were not cut or rolled and were very slow.

This was nice course the reason for the 3, when we got there wasn’t enough golf carts and had to wait 20 minutes for one.

The coarse was in great shape and it was a great course.

Great course and it's in great shape. From a "hackers" point-of-view, the pin placements were difficult for scoring. Don't recall that any flags were in the center of the green. I think the course was setup for a tournament since there were some "closest to pin" placards on a couple par 3 greens.

Staff were very friendly, laid back vibe - conditions were great, the course design and hole layouts were a bit less varied and exciting compared to Calednia, Kings North, or Prestwick, but the greens were totally consistent, and the course provided a number of challenging shots

the holding the carts thing until 10 min before your tee time is ridiculous. makes it very hard to get ready to play golf. there has got to be a better way.

Great golf course just very disappointing that we were not informed greens had been punched the week before we played. Greens were still in terrible condition and impossible to putt.

We played a morning and afternoon round and the staff was very well organized in getting us out both times. The course was in fine shape and the green round true and smooth.

Excellent course, fair, great greens.

A good finishing course for us, Conway was on the home. It was hard to stop a ball on those greens. I actually like the waste bunkers. I felt naughty driving in them. I thought we were supposed to get a lunch there before we headed home, but the staff didn't know anything about it. However, they were nice enough to make it happen. This one we would also play again.

This course was in great shape - the best track that our group played all week. Fairways and greens were in great shape. On a down side, we played 18 in the morning and another 18 in the afternoon and the ranger was nowhere to be seen in the evening. The result was that our last three groups were forced to finish in the dark due to a group in front of us that was at least 3 holes behind the group in front of them.

They need a ranger in the evening to keep groups up to pace.

Great Cart Paths, fun course, lots of sand, good fairways, slow greens.

This golf course was in great shape: fairways, greens, and rough were all in very good shape. The only complaint is that on the back nine we were behind a group that ended up finishing about 3 holes behind the group in front of them, which led to our last 3 groups having to finish the round in the dark (no ranger was in sight to promote a normal pace of play for the entire afternoon).

Course maintenance is suffering a bit with the mowing and some tee boxes. No water on course or beverage cart. No food available at turn (staffing issues). Need a Marshall there was a 3some that played slower than a 6 some holding up entire course. Free replay was good though

This is our favorite course in MB and the layout is great. The new greens are going to be great, but they aren't there yet. The greens had been aerated and top dressed with sand. They were bumpy, but not too bad.

They had to many golfers scheduled for the course. We had to give up our carts and get new ones because not enough carts for the replay. 243 was the number that day.

Good course with challenging greens as they are all above the level of the fairway requiring accurate approach shots or adventurous chipping. Greens in good condition. Staff was good with the exception of bag drop where for some strange reason they would not load carts until 15 minutes prior to tee time even though we were the first groups out for the day, all present and carts already at the bag drop. Resulted in unnecessary chaos as bag drop filled with later tee times.

Love the golf course! Great fun layout. Very well marked, and condition was fantastic! This was my second time playing this course and look forward to playing it again.

Fun course that is difficult at around the greens. Almost every green is elevated above fairway level, so no running the ball up and tough chipping. Staff was okay, but slow to get going in morning waiting to get carts loaded to just prior to tee times even though our group had first times of the day. Made things unnecessarily chaotic.

Very disappointed in the condition of the course especially the greens. I had several complaints from guys in our group about the conditions. I played this course several times in the past and it was always in good condition.

Not as nice as Love and not as well manicured but we enjoyed this course.

Fun, wide open course. It was a great place to start our week at. coming off a long winter. Greens were a little beat up. But you could tell they were close being back to normal.

I thought the course was in good condition; however, the pace of play was unacceptable. It appeared the club really stacked the tee times to try to get as many players on as possible.

This might not be a fair ranking because it rained much of the day. But there were a couple greens in poor shape, and the course didn’t seem all that unique.

No one was at the bag drop to take my golf bag out of the car. Had to load my own bag on the cart.

Really liked this course and the duel fairways with the waste side was really nice. We were able to play 5 and keep ahead of groups.
