The course

What Barefoot Resort – Dye Course plays like.

Designed by Pete Dye and opened in 2000, this course features challenging terrain with strategically placed bunkers and narrow fairways. It showcases Dye's signature use of waste areas and railroad ties, creating a visually striking layout. The par 4 10th hole is notable for its demanding approach over water, while the par 3 13th hole challenges with its island green. The course suits skilled golfers seeking a strategic test.

Reviews

4.47 out of 5 from 735 golfers.

Left by people who booked this tee time through us and played it.

Course was aerated 2 days before we played. Never was told. Payed full price.

Spiegel, Harrisburg

Great course

Younglove, Bowling Green

Great course and challengng as well

Hughes, Gardena

Best if the three.

Mike, Berwyn

Always like the Dye course layout and experience! Greens should be faster. Excessive advertising on cart screens is the worst I have ever experienced.

Bechtel, Columbus

Pretty course.

Leanne, Etobicoke

Nice course, all course had its difficulties, very nice challenge!

Hill, Bluesprings

Close second to TPC, well maintained.

Colbert, Los angeles

Very nice and challenging

St.James, St.Clair

Beautiful course, challenging but fair in great shape

Barnett, New Hope

Course needs refurbished the Due character is rotted away

Hammer, Loveland

Course was in great shape. Staff was awesome…starter gave great advice on how to play the course - can’t wait to play it again!

Scott, North tonawanda

Beautiful layout, very fair to all levels of golfers and amazing condition.

McCullough, Keswick

this was the last day we played and I was able to play the whole 18 holes.

Larry, Cudahy

Average conditions and above average cost makes it a bit disappointing.

Steve, Webster

Very slow play golf day. Rangers needed on course to manage pace of play.

William , Granite Falls

Best course yet

Matt, Florham Park

Tough, challenging course. Friendly staff throughout. Back nine was pretty much rained out. As we had already made the turn and played the tenth while we received a rain check for nine which was greatly appreciated. Will definitely be back.

Bruce

Overall very well maintained, although many of the tee boxes were in poor condition.

gary

$107 was too much. Greens had just been aerated, course was not in great shape, looked like it needed water. Course needs renovation to justify premium rates. $65 would have been appropriate in current condition.

William

Very disappointed to spend the amount of money and not know the greens were recently aerated. Also the fact that it was extremely hot, no working water fountain, beverage cart or ranger on course distributing water.

Devin

Excellent golf course

Jeremy, Nottingham

Average conditions

Glynn, Northville

Course was ok but not great shape

Jeff, Westfield

Horrible condition especially the front 9. Goat ranch. I was there 18 years ago and it was pristine. Very disappointed.

Wethington , Westfield

Great layout and condition. However, had a bad experience with staff. Not very customer friendly quite honestly. I will not be back at this course again - and it is a shame.

Eric, Marysville

Very good conditions and layout.

Burbank, Melissa

Most challenging of all barefoot courses. Best course conditions. Best greens, fairways, and tee boxes. A must play if you’re headed to barefoot.

David, Chesapeake

In great shape for Monday After the Masters...terrific.

Ed, Ellicott City

Great shape, as we thought—right before Monday After The Masters.

Drnach, Ellicott City

Slow play, great conditions

Nicholas, Midlothian

Outstanding course, great staff, excellent condition

Paul, Charlottesville

Really enjoyed the Dye course. Very challenging as always!

Rob, Belvidere

Amazing place to play

Cory, Palm Bay

Love this course have been playing here since they only had a trailer!

Jim, Norwood

great course loved it

Craig, Souderton

Dissappointed that the greens were not cut and were very slow. Course layout was great

Tom, Dublin

Simply the best of the four barefoot courses, challenging, shop precision required, overall a beautiful course.

Guy, Elizabethtown

Worst day of the trip. I was told back in April before adding this course that over seeding was done in early October yet it was being done while we were there. Cart path only on a hard and dry course was bad. Club pro/manager was an arrogant, full of himself jackass. Treated us like second class people. Again there were other groups stuck in the middle of our 11 straight tee times. I will never play there again. Pro should be fired. Club guys and snack bar lady were first rate. No on course drink cart on an 80 degree humid day.

Dave, Cambridge

Over priced for such a crappy condition of the course. Played here several times and it was great. Now, it is as bad as a Legends course. A shame to let it fall apart from what it used to be

Bill, Manhattan

was intimidating as I'm sure Pete intended. Nicely cared for.

Lora

Love the layout. Tough course. Clubhouse food was great.

Bonavico, Hamilton

Nice . Fast greens. 9/10

Pocino, Nashville

Unable to play as course was closed due to tropical storm Debby.

Bruce

Greens were very sandy

Michael, Wesley Chapel

Greens had just been punched the week before so they weren’t in the best of shape. Since the course didn’t have much play there wasn’t a lot of staff to assist with the golfers. The gentlemen that acted as the starter was very nice. Loved the layout of the course.

Carol, Lake Charles

Liked but was overpriced for what it was.

Steven

Very busy and chaotic around the putting green and first tee. Felt crowded everywhere.

Matt, State College

Worst conditions I’ve ever seen at Dye. Certainly, overpriced for the time of year. Sprayed greens and fairways is disappointing especially in the morning. Pace was fine, but we were reminded every hole, sometimes twice a hole that we were 4 minutes behind pace.

Adam

Some golfers like this course the best

Ron, Philadelphia

Not terrible, but not worth the cost either.

Jonathan, Roswell

We will not return to Founders Club. Sand was everywhere including greens and fairways. Greens were atrocious. Course not well maintained.

Ronald, Niles

a towering challenge of a course with tons of fairway hazards that force a strategic approach to play.

Rick, houston

Excellent - fairways and around the greens nice and plush. Greens putted true and perfect speed. People were personable and provided great service.

Michael, Massillon

Course play slow and backed up. Great greens.

Don, Clover

Good course, lousy pace of play

David, GIBSONIA

Course was beat up and not a fan of the layout. Usually love Dye courses, but this one needs some love. Second fav Myrtle course is the Fazio at Barefoot.

David, Gibsonia

So slow waiting every shot. Course not in best shape. It was a factory

Thomas, gibsonia

Expected more from this course. Inconsistent

Doug, Mars

Love it but it doesn’t love me back!

Jack, DAYTON, OH

Always a great course and the pace of play was perfect.

Jansen, Xenia

Did not play rai

Rene, Troisreveere

Too much sand :)

Stephen, Louisville

Challenging course

James, Riviera Beach

Really tough day with all the wind; would like another chance at some point; very challenging course

Keith, Bristol

Beautiful course, super challenging

Kevin, Norwalk

course was in rough shape due to weather and no traditional cart paths.

Kevin, Cary

I had to leave early and did not get to play this one

Michael, Sylva

this place was unbelievable

Scott , Shelbyville

Jim, Ramara

Rained Out Unable to Play

We liked this course, will play again.

Graven, Louisa

Extremely tough, but a good test of your skills. Would do this course again.

Guy, Elizabethtown

my favorite course in myrtle beach

Mike, Lebanon

Good course not the group’s favorite but demanding.

Brett, Scottsdale

My two favorites are Dye course and Fazio course. Over all golfing was a pleasant experience . Very friendly people throughout..

Jim, Winter Haven

great condition everyone enjoyed it immensely.

David L, Sandy Hook

Barefoot courses were great!

Jeromy, Grand Bend

Nice course, well laid out and pace of play was nice. Greens in good shape rough very dry, hard to hit from.

Chris, Unionville

Love the coarse

Eric, Bellefontaine

tough course. great condition. best off all barefoot courses

Rob , Lindenhurst

as always , lived up to the hype

Maurice, Rosemere

great course was set up great because of the Hootie and the Blow fish

Sylvain, Brossard

Great course; pot bunker targets and waste bunkers make it a fair test

Michael , Thornhill

Actually, very disappointed in the course and the staff... we started off ten and came back to front 9 and had to wait behind 2 teams doing a replay. This was kind of BS and should have never happened. The feeling here was cattle call golf and for the money it should not feel that way.

Dane, Apex

Enjoyed the round. Greens were in good conditions

Dennis, Sturgeon falls

Beautiful golf course. Clubhouse beyond beautiful. Food on the pricey side.

Dennis, Brownstown

This is by far the nicest course in the complex It surpasses all the other ones by far. The staff is very friendly. generous landing areas and the greens are fast but very readable.

Eric, Canton

course was just ok, were rushed to get to the first tee 15 minutes before it tee time by the starter then had to wait on every hole, no one behind us the whole day. other than the guy who was bringing water around to the players, staff aren't very friendly

Nicholas , Camp Hill

Good course. Unfortunately it rained and soaked the course.

John, Cumberland

Favorite course of the three. Greens were challenging .

James, Myrtle Beach

Course was in OK condition, service was great.

Corey, Mount Pleasant

Worse condition than Fazio and course is expensive for the facilities and condition.

Anthony, Niagara Falls

Design was nice, greens so slow.

Bob, Aledo

Tuff course And there was no food at the turn or the court girls didn’t have anything on any of the Barefoot courses they had some chips and some pretzels and drinks that’s it I need a little bit more food but other than that fantastic

Chad, Manheim

Course looked unkept, waste bunkers were full of rocks. Seemed like the course doesn’t want to maintain the bunkers so they just call them waste bunkers. The greens were in good shape and rolling well.

Chris, Hingham

Dye club is always great.

Robert, Bethel Park

The staff was very friendly at the Dye but seemed under staffed.

james, emerald isle

tooo many sand bunkers . GREAT greens

Mike, Riverton

Tough course. The GPS in the cart helps to see the layout ahead. Would be nice to have a short "hints" on each hole on strategy on how best to play it and trouble to avoid.

Stephen, Apex

Great course and nice starter and bag guys

Shane, Cookeville

Loved this course!!

Joe, Reynoldsburg

excellent conditions

Glen, Scott Depot

Could have been anywhere on the Scottish coast. Beautiful golf. Bump and run True greens the pro’s use.

Martin, STUART

Bags boys not good greens good tees and fairways okay. Staff in restaurant great

Phil, Duluth

First class, challending (of course...), fast greens, great staff. Good pace of play. A definite "come back here" course

Jonathan , Cincinnati

Tough course. Very nice facility

Jacob, Virginia Beach

Top notch with every amenity imaginable. Staff was very accommodating.

Jeremiah, Rock Hill

Beautiful but difficult with all the waste bunkers. Not a fan

Steve, Belcamp

Great course!

Tim, Waitsfield

Course was in great shape and best of the barefoot experience

Dane, Apex

Poor fairways and tee boxes. surprised by the condition.

Kevin, Redmond

Always the most difficult of the four, more fun as a scramble.

D Michael, Ellicott City

Perfect shape, tough bunkers. Wish the greenside bunkers would be more sand and not a waste bunker. Impossible to hit out of

John, Charlotte

Top notch everything

Dwight, Canton

Beautiful course in great shape but be prepared for STRONG winds

Phillip, Akron

spectacular course, by far the best of the 3

Douglas, Deerfield beach

Staff was rude with no personality! Tried rushing us to tee off 15 mins early and got an attitude when 1 of our group had to use the restroom! The greens were great but the fairways needed to mature some

Brian, Swoope

The most beautiful of all

Christian, St-Jerome

didnt play rain out

John, Hazle Township

Lots of trouble. Have to play conservatively. Excellently maintained

James, Liberty

Very nice course with great greens

Wesley, Greenville

Great place to play

Jeff, Maineville

super fast greens

Chris , Bassett

I might be biased as I am a Dye member by virtue of Dye Villas ownership. I really enjoy this golf course. When we are on site I prefer t play here but will play the other resort courses to change thngs up.

Dwight, Stanleytown

Awesome course Pictures don’t do it justice

Sheldon, Fredericksburg

first 4 holes were very confusing with lack of signage

Wesley, Cheboygan

Not in as good of condition as last year

Don, Fredericksburg

Diabolical course! Very hard

Sergey, Providence

Sand was very hard not tradition to a link corse

Lee, Burlington

Very nice course also pace of play great very soggy conditions.

Frank, Brigantine

The best course we played. Very interesting layout. Good condition. Great amenities

Mark, Windsor

Home of the 5.5 hour round! The way the bunkers surround the fairways,if you are "cart path only" it is one long day!!

Brian, Jacksonville Beach

Didn’t have the opportunity to play here.We decided to take a non golf day and enjoy Myrtle Beaches other attractions

Mark, Quincy

Some greens in below average condition, many sand traps were mud traps, didn't think course was up to its ratings

Tom, Rutherfordton

Really enjoyed this course. It is a tough but fair challenge to your game and is in wonderful shape.

Richard , Kings Mountain

Great condition. The starter was a dick bc he said you had to be a 2 handicap to play the tips. We did anyways and had a blast. Easily one of the most challenging but favorite courses.

Calvin, Worthington

Great course. Staff were excellent. Absolutely go back

Stephen, Conley

One of MB's finest. Excellent course conditions, service, GPS in carts, rangers with cold water watching pace of play, etc.

David, Roswell

Unbelievable greens and extremely challenging- great course for challenging your best friend

Bob, Voorhees

Barefotts best layout!

Paul, Cherry Hill

Great track, great condition

brett, oceanview

great layout

Terrence , Fayetteville

Liked all the traps

Stephen , Glendale

The greens were probably in the worst condition I have ever had to play on in recent memory. Very disappointing.

Patrick, New Bern

Greens were about as bad as I’ve ever played and actually finished the round. Probably should have traded that one out.

Steve, New Bern

The greens were the worst I have ever played on. No one had told us that they had killed off some old grass and just punch them.

George, New bern

Greens were terrible. Group should have been informed of the condition.

Alan, New Bern

Played love course… enjoyed it. Great greens

Chris, Indian trail

Course good but greens were horrible. Recently pinched, sanded and I assume poor weather. I’d wait a while before playing this course again. Greens really unplayable

Eric, Woodstock

Consistently in good shape

Jeff, Sparta

One of the best courses we've ever played in MB. Conditions were perfect.

Mike, Spring Lake

Looked great, but we were unable to play

Kevin, Raleigh

More difficult than the rating implied

John, Conover

Hard course. Not for the faint of heart.

Gary, Conover

Challenging and beautiful, but never so overwhelming that it wasn't fun. Exactly what I would want from a Carolina golf outing.

Larry, Long Beach

Excellent conditions, best in class facility

Paul, Mendon

Awesome course!

Kris, Durham

Another great course, personal favorite!! Is separate from other 3 courses. Excellent condition and very challenging.

Stephen, E Northport

The best course I've played in Myrtle. For this early in the year it was in great shape.

John , Pittsburgh

Splendid in all ways.

Beautiful condition and great service

Michael, Coatesville

Did not love the service here.

George, Plymouth Meeting

Green was little bumpy and slow. But still good..

Jung Tae Kim, Centreville

Tricky course but lots of fun to play. Spent quite a bit of time"at the beach".

Rob, High Point

Beautiful - nothing bad about the course!

Robert, Caledonia

Resort course, too many waste bunkers. Great condition.

Stephen, New Hope

Very nice. Pace of play on all courses was good. Beverage carts were a rare sight across the board though

DAVID, Westminster

This one was my favorite the others were great as well.

Zackery, Stevensville

All five courses were equally challenging.

Ronald, Macungie

was very surprised by the rate they charged for a junior. On the 3rd day of playing these courses I asked for a discounted rate for the junior golfer and was a laughed at.

Michael, Northampton

Fair and challenging at the same time.

scott, mount dora

Tough course and tight, but absolutely loved it. Greens were stellar, setup was amazing, nice new carts, could not say enough good about this course.

Scott, Fort Mill

Incredible conditions !

jeffrey, galena

Very nice course. Very well maintained. Some very visually stimulating holes. For me there was to much emphasis on the bunkers. Otherwise it would have been a five. Still it was my favorite course of the week do to how great of shape it was in.

James, Benton

Super good course. Loved the club and Diedra was excellent.

Navneet, Ashburn

Green we’re not in great shape

Shane, Butner

Great course. Awesome golf carts, even better customer service. Great food in the club house.

My toughest course. Need to shoot at spots. Well maintained course.

Michael, Lehighton

Great course. Everyone playing at MB should give it a try.

James, NEWBERRY

Too much sand.... terrible to play out of...carts all thru traps

patrick, lancaster

Of the 4 it was #1. Great layout. PGA look and feel. Difficult

Scott, Gibsonville

The Barefoot Dye course was a tremendous challenge as well as a treat to play, at the same time.

William, Brook Park

Certainly one of the longer courses I’ve played from the back. Course in great condition. Amenities and staff were top notch. They were able to give us a deal for a replay so we headed over to the Fazio course as well

Calvin, Worthington
