The course

What Barefoot Resort – Fazio Course plays like.

Designed by Tom Fazio and opened in 2000, this course features a classic Lowcountry layout with natural elevation changes and mature pines. The fairways are generous, but strategic bunkering and challenging green complexes demand precision. Notable holes include the par 4 18th, which provides a dramatic finish with water guarding the green. The course suits golfers seeking a challenging yet enjoyable round.

Again, course in great shape

Younglove, Bowling Green

This course was fun to play.

Hughes, Gardena

next to the dye the worst course there

william, LOCKPORT

Great course also played Loves more forgiving with the drivers but irons and short game challenging

Duvelsdorf, Hamilton Twp

Like Fazio Love and Norman courses but greens were too slow. Driving range shuttle is a big plus. Burgers at outside grill continue to be awesome!

Bechtel, Columbus

Nice course, all course had its difficulties, very nice challenge!

Hill, Bluesprings

Bunkers and greens were not worth the money or its ratings. Is there a better time of the year to play. Back home this would be a $50 course.

Colbert, Los angeles

Feels like they used beach sand for traps. Ball rolls into trap and you still have a fried egg.

Bayuk, Mars

Lots of bunkers!! Course was in fantastic shape!

Scott, North tonawanda

The course conditions were not the best. - disappointing for the cost

Clay, Highland Township

Played this course the day after I popped my knee out at the Heritage Golf club. The course looked great, I just couldn't play much.

Larry, Cudahy

Course was nice, staff not as friendly, no communication to let you know what was going on when arrived

Rich, Nepoet News

Greens were nice. Lots of sand bunkers that were not in good shape.

Jake, Towson

Great course and great service. When play got slow the ranger moved it along

Mezzano, Keyport

Great course

Joe, Hector

Beautiful course. Friendly staff

William , Granite Falls

Would like to see more competitive and fair greens fee prices!! Staff at the course was great!

Michael

Everything was great. Due to the rain the bunkers were not in great shape. Everyone at the course were great and friendly.

Daniel

Good course but not as impressed for the amount paid

Jeremy, Robbinsville

Limited balls to practice prior to round, had to hit off Matt’s. Course condition was barely average

Glynn, Northville

This course was fun and a very nice track

Jeff, Westfield

Good condition

Wethington , Westfield

Fazio and love were equally challenging but in very different ways. Course setup is great, especially for the short par 4’s. Most are less than 380 yds or so but. Bunker and tree locations demand accurate tee shots. Very few holes where the Driver is needed.

David, Chesapeake

Not in great shape.

Antin, Briarcliff Manor

Tee boxes in bad shape. Sand traps are over the top deep. Just wasn’t my favorite by a long shot. And very difficult to step out of once making the shot. Would not play this one again. Needs signage.

Leanne, Etobicoke

Nice course. Played it a few times now. Only suggestion I have is that there are many areas around course that are hard pan where it was once a grass area. This makes the course look like the maintenance is dripping.

Burns, Brookhaven

Layout is pretty, challenging, and rewards good shots. Choose the right tees, though...

Ed, Ellicott City

Best layout at Barefoot, and lovely shape

Drnach, Ellicott City

This course was the toughest with 98 bunkers, it was hard and narrow. You shots need to be down the middle. Great Course but tough I liked it ,but tough. I rated this as my number (4) course.

Edward, Plymouth

This course was a very tough with 98 bunkers you had to keep your shots in the middle. This was a fun course it challenge your game I rated it number 4 out of the 5 courses we played.

Cahoon, Plymouth

Bunkers distracted from the experience rather than enhancing it. Did not have the crispness in staff or course conditions as the Dye course.

Paul, Charlottesville

Totally enjoyed it.

Cory, Palm Bay

Did not get to play

Jim, Norwood

Very rushed and they hounded us to get finished by no later than 5:05 PM

Carlo, Seaside Park

Challenging course, with well place shots required. Very scenic.

Guy, Elizabethtown

Tees were in bad shape

Angel, Millville

hit almost every bunker hard course greens were fair fairways a bit thin. rough was tough

Charles, Harleysville

Course was in great shape, weather was perfect and staff very accommodating. The drawback playing here was not being able to make the turn via the clubhouse. Understand, however the beverage cart on the course could have been better stocked with snacks and/or some form of higher protein food items. As the round continued, the beverage cart became more scarce and less stocked.

Charles, Rock Hill

Very nice golf course. Would love to play at one of the sister courses.

John, South Weymouth

Beautiful course. Tee box selection makes it as challenging as you desire.

Bruce

See the comments above. We played it one day only.

Lara, West Columbia

Needed sand in the bunkers. They were not playable.

James

Greens were a little slow because they had been punched a few weeks before. Pro shop staff was friendly and accommodating. Needed more drinking water on the course. Cart girl came around a couple of times but never stopped to ask us if we needed anything. Traps were also not well maintained.

Carol, Lake Charles

Had a great day. course layout was challenging and fair. Bunkers were well placed and challenging. The greens were perfect.

Paul, North Bay

really loved the greens

Douglas , Scottsburg

fairways and tees were in good shape. Rough was a little weedy

Chris, Harrisburg

Tough course and well kept.

Craig, Newton

Boring, range hard to get to. Poor pace of play

Jonathan, Roswell

Course a mess

Don, Clover

disappointed in course conditions, unplayable waste areas and bunkers

Jonathan , Cincinnati

Extremely, extremely, slow pace of play very large groups of apparently nongolfers were in front of our group

Gil, Charlotte

Very nice track just didn’t fit my game and the weather conditions didn’t help (windy and cold).

Jack, DAYTON, OH

In much better shape this year. The service was great! Pace of play was a bit slow.

Jansen, Xenia

Rained out on this course

Tom, Greenville

Liked this course the best of the 3 we played

Keith, Bristol

Beautiful course Too many sand traps lol

Michael, Sylva

this place was unbelievable

Scott , Shelbyville

Bunkers were terrible. Too much sand (more dirt like).

Dan, Toronto

Phenomenal course, great scenery, well maintained.

Guy, Elizabethtown

Yogeshwar, Valley Stream

Bunkers in poor shspe

edward, Midlothian

Greens were nice and the coarse was in great shape

Eric, Bellefontaine

2nd favorite course.

Rob , Lindenhurst

Course conditions were great as well as the layout. Staff were super friendly and courteous from start to finish. Definitely would go back.

Brian, Wexford

Same routing and lack of sandwich comment as Love.

Louis, Baltimore

Would have preferred less bunkers

Milada, Sun City

It was a good, challenging course. Fairways and rough had gotten some play and needed a bit of work. Only reason it gets a 3 and not a 4 is because of the higher price to play this course when it wasn't in the best shape compared to the other two we played.

CHRISTOPHER, Twinsburg

Greens were excellent

John, Niagara-0n-the-Lake

very enjoyable..even with the cold weather

Maurice, Rosemere

conditions of the gold course are excellent. Too much sand for my liking. But a great course

Paul, Cobourg

Lots of sand - Barefoot is well organized - good services

Greg, Uxbridge

This is a very nice course. there's room off the tee box and the greens putt fantastic. there is a heck of a lot of sand. The staff was very friendly. I would definitely like to play this course again.

Eric, Canton

Great golf course. Really nice condition and very good greens. Lots of sand, not for the faint of heart but fair if you play the proper tees.

Randy, Boyertown

ok, not our favorite

Leo, Woburn

Great experience. Busy course but they were great about letting us play as a group.

Greg, Burke

Another great course. Greens diff than we were used to and grain came into play.

James, Myrtle Beach

Course was in good condition, but again there was no cart person or water coolers on the course in 90* + heat with high humidity. Clubhouse also closed mid afternoon which was weird…

Anthony, Niagara Falls

Course was in good shape

Bob, Aledo

Not as well manicured as the other Barefoot courses

David, Waxhaw

Upon arrival we were told Fazio greens were just punched. Pro shop was upfront and offered us to play the Love course instead, which was in good condition.

Matt, Mechanicsburg

The staff was very friendly at the Fazzio, Norman and Love courses.

james, emerald isle

Fair and fun !!!

Mike, Riverton

Started off thinking the course wasn’t maintained very well, but it turned out I be nice.

Stephen, Wayne

Nice layout great condition

Ray, Broad Brook

One of the prettier courses but can play long from the back tees. Swallow your pride and move up - it will be much more fun.

Stephen, Apex

Very playable!

Joe, Reynoldsburg

excellent conditions

Glen, Scott Depot

Needs some attention onto the grounds. Rough and greens both is bad shape

Eric, Owosso

How many sand obstacles are enough? Too many. Everything else a 5.

John P, Lansing

Course was in decent shape

Dane, Apex

tough course, plenty of bunkers

Kevin, Redmond

Not my favorite barefoot course - should include more than one bucket of range balls…

Nicholas, Arlington

Usual reliable conditions

D Michael, Ellicott City

Not in great shape right now

John, Charlotte

little but brutal, tons of sand

Douglas, Deerfield beach

my favorite Barefoot course

best course of the trip by far outstanding

Joseph, Hazle Township

9 in the rain. Loved it. Came back and played 18 at the Love course.

Mark, Alexandria

Lots of bunkers but less developed than other resort courses so felt more like home. Great track to play.

James, Liberty

Good fun but severe bunkering can present many challenges.

Jeff, Chadds ford

Nice course - would be better in summer when Bermuda is growing - off the fairways was spotty in terms of grass.

Steve, Chadds Ford

Pretty much the same but too much sand.

Tim, New Berlin

Hardest course out of the four

Wesley, Greenville

It rained never made this course

Sheldon, Fredericksburg

Shows lots of wear and tear from activity lots of leaves

Don, Fredericksburg

Never played

5 hour plus round no rangers in site that was a big negative we will not play barefoot again except for Dye course

Great course with no homes. Really enjoyed playing here.

Jim, Columbia

Awesome course

Jim, Harrisburg

i liked this course best of all. you could get lost in the deep sand traps. had my best round of the trip

Steven, Hedgesville

Nice course, perhaps a cut below Love and Dye. I found it challenging but open to good scoring

Ted, Audubon

Excellent fair to average golfer

John, Marritt

Wonderful course, well maintained, fairway and greens in great shape (seemed to be the most challenging of the 4 courses.

Stephen, E Northport

Greens were bad - bunker sand inconsistent

Jerry, Lincoln Park

Will, Mohnton

Greens were a bit disappointing.

Mark, Coraopolis

No complaints. We will be back.

Ryan, Burnham

greens were in rough shape on some holes.

Kevin, Cary

The greens were really bad but everything else was perfect.

Christopher, Loganville

Favorite course of the 3 on my trip. Never saw civilization after getting through the first few holes. Barefoot greens don’t have much grass on them (too much water from rain) but they rolled very true.
